| Welcome! Mercer Area Library is located in Mercer, PA, about 60 miles north of Pittsburgh and 60 miles south of Erie. The library provides educational, informational and recreational materials and programs and services to the residents of the Mercer Area School District and surrounding areas. Library cards are free to residents of Mercer Boro and the townships of Coolspring, East Lackawannock, Findley and Jefferson. Books are available for $4.50 at the library. | July 13 - OUR STATE PARKS (July 13 at 6:30 PM) Chris Rolinson will speak on "Our State Parks: Western Pennsylvania," a collection of photos. The photos are on display at Mercer Area Library June 16-July 23. Chris and his photos were featured in the April 2010 Views and Voices. His book will be available for sale. | July 15 - Library Board Meeting (Thursday, July 15) 7:00 PM | July 23 - Ice Cream Social (July 23 6-9 PM) Friends of the Mercer Area Library will hold their annual Ice Cream Social on the Courthouse lawn in conjunction with the Friday night band concerts. Delicious cake, pie, ice cream and drinks will be available. |
